Image Enhancer

A guide to RIVANI image restoration and upscaling: what adaptive 8× means, how Fidelity Guard works, what Public Beta All Access includes and how currently implemented precision controls are unlocked during Beta.

What Image Enhancer does

RIVANI Image Enhancer is a browser-first restoration and upscaling tool for images that are too small, soft, compressed or visually flat. It combines neural restoration with RIVANI finishing and verification so a result can become clearer without blindly accepting every AI-created detail.

Smart Scan before enhancement

Smart Scan estimates blur, noise/compression risk, lighting behavior, fine-edge sensitivity and transparency before enhancement. These signals help adapt cleanup rather than applying the same recipe to every photo.

Output scale and detail controls

  • restoration/finishing without enlargement
  • moderate enlargement
  • the verified neural super-resolution path
  • Adaptive 8× verified 4× neural restoration plus Studio reconstruction to a larger effective output where safe

RIVANI does not claim native 8× neural super-resolution. Large jobs can automatically use the highest safe effective scale instead of crashing the browser.

Fidelity Guard

Fidelity Guard compares the enhanced result against the original at matched scale and checks structural drift, color changes and excessive edge amplification. If the result moves too far away from the source, RIVANI can retain less reconstructed detail.

AI cannot recover exact facts that were never captured

A sharper-looking face, letter or texture can still contain reconstructed detail. Important images should be reviewed before use.

Public Beta All Access controls

  • No successful-job daily cap during the current public Beta
  • Natural / Strong / Restore
  • 1× / 2× / 4× / adaptive 8×
  • AI Strength, Clarity, Sharpness and Studio Finish
  • Smart Scan and Fidelity Guard
  • Original+, Vivid, Clean, Warm, Cool, Cinema and Mono filters
  • Drag Before/After comparison
  • PNG, WebP and JPEG export choices

Precision controls are temporarily unlocked

Current implemented precision controls — including Critical Area Lock, Face Identity Lock, reference checks, Logo Reference Lock, Exact Brand Color Lock, Selective Revert Brush, QR/Barcode Guard, Truth Map, Print Proof and Batch + Consistency Lock where present in the interface — are temporarily included during Public Beta All Access. Future paid Pro is still not for sale.

Choosing an export

PNG is useful for lossless graphics and transparency but can become very large after enlargement. WebP is usually practical for high-quality photos, while JPEG is useful for broad compatibility.

Limits and device behavior

  • Large images and large scale factors require more memory.
  • Mobile and desktop can use different safe execution paths while targeting the same quality goal.
  • Tiny text, destroyed compression blocks and heavily blurred faces may be impossible to restore faithfully.
  • Filters and sharpening can be overused; compare with the source before export.

Privacy

Image pixels are processed in the browser. The AI engine is downloaded to the device and can be cached by normal browser behavior.
